Google Analytics can now tell you how much your Facebook fans are worth

Ever wanted to put a dollar value on each of your Facebook fans?

Google Analytics will be rolling out a feature in the next few weeks that will give you the ability to:

-          Create a goal in GA that can be based on a sale, referral ,purchase intent etc.

-          Then you can track not just the number of referrals coming in from Facebook, Tweets, G+ etc. but actually see which of these individuals actually went on to convert

-          If your goals are be configured with a dollar value (eg. conversion to sale) – this new feature will tell you how much business your social networks are generating

So for a brand that sells something online, they would be able to tell the actual dollar value of business generated for each ‘Like’ on Facebook / each Tweet / each post etc.

I’m guessing most businesses will want to see these metrics more than stats around engagement and impressions. No more guesswork required.
