UI better believe it

Some hot news springing up at the moment about how the R&D departments of the world’s largest tech players will change the way we interface with computers.

Microsoft are working on bringing a Kinect like interface to the next batch of PCs and handheld devices. Dubbed “Natural User Interaction” or NUI, it aims to transform the model from input / output and make computers more human like, understanding natural gestures and even reading lips.

Ever wished you were the terminator? Google are working on a pair of Goggles that will connect to your phone via Bluetooth and bring up augmented reality information (such as directions, news etc.) right in front of your eyes as you look around. Neat.
